  Took some time to write this to see if the company would do a proper re-follow up with me. The manager in the store is the deplorable I caution anyone who is darker skin tone to not go into the store. My experience indicated to me that I was being racially profiled by the manager. Upon returning an item, my experience was he was accusatory and questioning my return. I’m still in shock that this person even is able to oversee and manage the store. As soon as I recall his name, I’ll put it back in to this review, it wasn’t worth even giving him any space in my mind. In addition to the horrible customer service at the top level of this establishment, I would also know that there’s merchandise just isn’t worth the price or the time. Maybe if they offered a semi luxury experience with customer care it could explain and justify the price level, but given that that they give bargain rate service, their prices do not deserve it, nor does the quality of the items merit what you’d pay. I highly recommend going upstairs to mango or Zara once it opens again. But honestly, you’d get much better clothing and service at H&M so don’t waste your time with this place.

  Ugh, that store manager, Juan Fitch. What a wonderful person. Made my whole shopping experience an unforgettable one. I felt like a king. He is certainly the engine that drives this establishment. 10 out 10.

  For the first time in my life, I was not discriminated for buying clothing designated for the “opposite sex”. I was able to take my time assessing the purchase (cause it was pricey but on sale) without harassment or judgement and made my purchase easily without harassment, insults, or discrimination at the cashier. You’d think in the year 2023 a liberal city like NYC would have stores that are more liberal but you’d be surprised there’s not much and staff at other clothing companies judge you and make it hard for you to purchase. I read the other reviews before purchasing from theory. You basically have to go into the store with the mindset that you can’t return no matter what. That’s what I did before deciding to make time to go and purchase. Because of the high prices, I may not be able to purchase again, but I want to positively highlight every staff member here. All the staff members just let me shop and didn’t discriminate me. I think the staff member who helped me specifically was Justin but I don’t remember the name with confidence. Visit was on March 25, 2023 at around 1-2pm.

  Just had a phenomenal experience here with Eduardo! I needed an outfit quickly for a last minute event and he styled me better than I have ever been styled before! He urgently ran around the store pulling me options and was very patient and attentive while we found the winning pieces. I'd never worked with a stylist with such kindness and knowledge of the product. I'm so happy I decided to come into the Hudson Yards Theory, I had visited the FlatIron area Theory location and had a really unpleasant experience with the employees there, whole store just seemed miserable I couldn't get out fast enough. Happy i have a new go to in the area to buy my Theory clothes! Thank you for everything Eduardo! I'll be back to see you soon!

  Tried on a pair of pants in-store and placed an order for home delivery. Pants arrived torn up with cuts in them! Would expect better quality control from a company that charges $200 for a pants. Company also required me to repackage and deliver to UPS to get a replacement pants. Definitely not an experience anybody appreciates.
