Church Street Surplus Introduce

While the platform category is "Clothes Store Near Me," Church Street Surplus, located at 327 Church St, New York, NY 10013, USA, specializes in surplus clothing, including military and vintage items. This introduction is tailored for local users in Taiwan who may be interested in exploring unique surplus clothing options from international stores, keeping in mind the pricing feedback provided in online reviews.

Church Street Surplus can be contacted via phone at (212) 226-5280 or through their mobile number at +1 212-226-5280 for inquiries about their current inventory and potential online purchasing or international shipping options.

Customer reviews indicate that Church Street Surplus offers an "okay" and "wide" selection of items, including some "fun (very expensive) oddities" and "true vintage surplus." However, a significant point of feedback is that the prices are considered "WAY too high," especially for "issued garments" (clothing that has been used). One reviewer suggests that for European camouflage, surplus websites offer unissued items for the same price as issued items at Church Street Surplus, and issued items can be found for half the price on surplus sites.

Another review echoes the sentiment that the pricing, particularly for military surplus, is "delusional." Examples include jackets priced over $1800 and an average coat costing over $100. This customer suggests that the store's pricing does not align with typical thrifting or surplus store expectations and recommends alternative stores like L Train Vintage Urban Jungle for potentially more affordable options.

The reviews suggest that while Church Street Surplus may offer a diverse selection, including vintage and military surplus, its pricing is a significant concern for customers, with many finding the items overpriced compared to other surplus retailers and online sources. The term "gougy" is used to describe the pricing, indicating a perception of being excessively high.

Information regarding the specific environment of the store beyond the selection of goods, the services offered (such as alterations or personal shopping), detailed features of their surplus items (such as specific brands or historical significance), and any current promotional information is not available in the provided data. Therefore, an objective introduction must heavily rely on the available customer feedback, which primarily focuses on the selection and pricing.

For local users in Taiwan interested in military or vintage surplus clothing, it is advisable to consider the feedback regarding the potentially high prices at Church Street Surplus and to compare their offerings and prices with those found on dedicated surplus websites or other vintage retailers before making a purchase. Contacting the store directly might provide more specific information about their current inventory and pricing.

Okay selection with some fun (very expensive) oddities. Prices are WAY too high, especially for issued garments. Stick to surplus sites for European camos, you can get unissued for the same price if Church St. and if you want nice wear and tear you can instead pay half the price for issues on a surplus site. Unless if you want some true vintage surplus, just use surplus sites, a pair of woodlands not older than 20 years old should never be more than $20 anywhere.

Selection was definitely wide but the pricing was delusional, especially for military surplus. Some jackets ran over $1800, your average coat cost $100+. Seems like another example of thrifting's gentrification but with prices so high it's hard to chalk it up to catering to trust fund babies from the village, definitely seems gougy. Definitely nothing thrifty about it. I'd suggest L Train Vintage Urban Jungle. you can find a lot of the same stuff for literally 40x less expensive.

I have purchased some amazing zippers from Church Street Surplus through their eBay store and they arrived quickly and exactly as described. I have also had the opportunity to stop by the store in-person a few times and love the atmosphere of the place - its very cool and worth checking out if you're in town/local. The owners/employees are warm and welcoming and I will definitely stop by again in the near future. Thank you again for the zippers!

Bought some velcro patches and a bomber jacket in here. Awesome stuff in there. Crazy old jackets and army uniforms. Prices are good. 2$ per patch. Jacket cost 110$ but it was completely new!
