Customer Feedback: While many visitors appreciate the store’s unique offerings and sustainable approach, some have shared negative experiences. A few reviews highlight issues with poor communication and unfair treatment, particularly for women customers. For example:

"I had an awful experience at this store. I brought in clothes to sell in a Rick Owens tote bag, which was clearly not for sale. Instead of returning it to me, they donated it without my consent."
"don’t waste your time trying to sell anything here. they say they’ll call, but they don’t. I had a bad experience and would not recommend this store to anyone looking for a fair deal."

Despite these challenges, 2nd STREET SoHo remains a notable destination for those seeking secondhand fashion in New York City. For those who value sustainability and unique finds, it may still be worth exploring.

I had an awful experience at this store. I brought in clothes to sell in a Rick Owens tote bag, which was clearly not for sale. Instead of returning it to me, they donated it without my consent. They didn’t even notice they never gave it back—because they simply do not care. Having worked here, I can tell you firsthand that the store is dismissive and unobservant. Women are constantly expected to follow extra rules, while men in charge get away with doing whatever they want. It’s a recurring pattern—women who shop here will understand exactly what I mean. If you want the lowest possible amount of money for your clothes, sure, sell here. But don’t expect fair treatment or basic professionalism. This store does not prioritize its customers, and it certainly doesn’t prioritize women.

don’t waste your time trying to sell anything here. they say they’ll call, but they don’t and after you wait for hours and return, your stuff is all over the place and they offer ridiculous prices on them. i brought brand new doctor martens boots and they wanted to buy them for 5 dollars. they offered 20 cents on a top. honestly, I felt insulted. just donated everything to a shelter nearby and it was totally worth it.

High end designer clothes with high and high amount of security. Low-key a pressuring thrift experience.

Shop is good, you can find lot of things very good price. But stuff isn’t honest, security allow me to bring inside my small bag and water bottle… I left it in the corner and start to look things, 1 minutes later it disappeared. I find water bottle inside stuffs corner and I ask them where was bag, he told me I see only bottle… I said, it was only minute and no way somebody took it, so, on 20 seconds he bring that bag also. He wanted to stole…!

2nd Street is my favorite thrift store-franchise in NY! I loved the SoHo collection and there were a lot of men’s items. I was not a huge fan of some of the women’s selection but I know I am probably perceiving it from my type of style. The have a lot of edgy outfits and there are a lot of unique styles. The high-end items are priced fairly.
