As someone who doesn’t always feel comfortable in high-end stores, I felt immediately welcomed at Toteme. The atmosphere is refined yet inviting, and the staff strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and approachability. Julie, in particular, made my visit unforgettable. I mentioned my curiosity about the store’s stunning couch and decor, and she took the time to indulge my interest and share the backstory of the decor as well as the brand. Her knowledge and warmth put me completely at ease. Since that first visit, Julie has become my go-to stylist, so much so my friends are now asking to meet her. She has an incredible ability to understand each of our unique taste. She has curated pieces that feel both timeless and uniquely "me." Her thoughtful recommendations have elevated my wardrobe in ways I couldn’t have imagined. As I've spent more time with Julie and her team at the store, I have so much appreciation for their incredible eye for how to style and overall generosity of spirit - they're wonderful people. Toteme isn’t just a place to shop; it’s a destination for anyone looking for luxury, high quality, fashion paired with exceptional service and a welcoming environment. The showroom was beautiful and clean, but the service was pretty average. I received a warmer greeting at Aritzia than I did at this showroom. When I walked in, the only greeting I received was from the security guard; I wasn’t acknowledged until I specifically requested assistance. The positive part of my experience came from two sales associates who handled my inquiries professionally. However, the overall shopping experience didn’t meet my expectations for a high-end brand or from other places I shopped before. There were no amenities offered, not even water. Although I love the brand and am happy with my purchase, I won’t be returning to this location.

Toteme's store concept is undeniably relaxing and beautifully designed—it creates a great atmosphere to shop in. However, I’m disappointed by the materials used in many of their pieces. For a brand positioning itself as premium, it’s hard to justify the steep prices for items made from polyester and synthetic fabrics, even if they incorporate recyclable practices. These materials are inexpensive to produce, man-made, and don’t compare to the quality, durability, and feel of natural fibers. The markup feels excessive, especially considering that synthetic fabrics typically don’t last as long. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the brand at these price points. Premium pricing should reflect premium quality, and in this case, it just doesn’t.
